Royal Bearing is wholly committed to transparency throughout the purchasing process. Each of our bearings is sold with an assigned condition code that allows distributors to clearly understand the condition of the bearings they are buying, and the type and condition of the packaging the bearing will ship in.
Each condition code consists of four to six letters. The first two letters determine the quality of the bearing itself. The remaining letters indicate the quality of the packaging.
New surplus goods may or may not come with manual(s) or other accessories normally supplied when buying factory new goods. New surplus product may be an older series or version. In most cases, the manufacturer's part number will clearly identify the revision style and/or production era. Royal buys a significant volume of surplus products each year ranging from the 1950's to current production. Due to the large volume of product and the ever-changing nomenclature, Royal does not keep track of the manufacturing date codes of the product sold or restrict sales based thereon. It is the customer's responsiblity to inform Royal if the date code is needed on a particular line item.

NSMPL1
New Surplus, Manufacturer Packaging, Level 1
Product is unused and in manufacturer packaging, with newer versions/styles only. Crisp, manufacturer packaging with sharp corners & edges, may have minor cosmetic blemishes corresponding to handling & storage. No after-market writing or marks on package. All products are covered with Royal's limited 13-month warranty.
NSMPL2
New Surplus, Manufacturer Packaging, Level 2
Product is unused and in manufacturer packaging. May be an older/vintage style. Manufacturer packaging may have writing, markings and after-market stickers, and edges & corners may be rounded and have slight blemishes. All products are covered with Royal's limited 13-month warranty.
NSRP
New Surplus, Royal Packaging
Product is unused and repackaged in Royal's custom packaging. All products have been inspected and cleaned to meet our quality assurance standards. All products are covered with Royal's limited 13-month warranty.
NSMD
New Surplus, Mill Duty
Product is unused and repackaged in Royal's custom packaging. Product may have some non-critical, visual blemish. All products have been inspected and cleaned to meet our quality assurance guidelines. All products are covered with Royal's limited 13-month warranty.
MDOT
Modified, Other
Product is unused and repackaged in Royal's custom packaging. Product will have some industry-standard modification performed. All products have been inspected and cleaned to meet our quality assurance standards. All products are covered with Royal's limited 13-month warranty.
MDRB
Modified, Rebuilt
Product has been restored as nearly as possible to its original condition in both appearance and performance, and has been repackaged in Royal's custom packaging or rebuilder's custom packaging. All products have been inspected and meet our quality assruance guidelines. All products are covered with Royal's limited 13-month warranty.
